Formation of the ALTEC Mittig und Manger GmbH on the 1st of April

1994
Development of a self-construction set for thermal collectors (SOLAR 2000 SY).
Construction of the prototype of a passive photovoltaic-tracking system.

1996
The company consists of five employees, two punch machines, one saw and several small installations.

2002
We move to a larger building for production in Crispendorf near Gera. New Jobs are created and we experience an erratic increase in turnover. 

2004
ALTEC Solartechnik becomes the biggest employer in the region. A new production hall is added.

2005
New build and expansion of the existing production area increase the administration and warehouse floor areas, now have 50 employees.

2006
Construction and expansion of the production facilities, extension of the machine park. Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2001. About 60 employees.

2007
Market launch of a facade-system as its master-company for Germany
Formation of the ALTEC Solartechnik AG. About 85 employees, working shifts.

2008
Building of a new access road and a further big production and storage building for better logistic processes. Speciality distributor for modules and formation of the ALTEC Solartechnik Sales GmbH & Co.KG.

Celebration for the company`s 15th aniversary and another administration building utilizing the ALTEC Facade System is built.

2009
More than 150 employees. Certification according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2004
Extension for the company by the opening of a new production facility in Sömmerda near Erfurt in Thuringia.

2010
Increasing the product range in the form of the ALUcarport finess and the solar carport. Further mounting profiles for open land were developed. And for the first time ALTEC took part in the Intersolar North America in San Francisco.

2011
Opening of new subsidiaries in Italy, Greece and UK to better serve these expanding markets.
